Dean Elgar's massive 140 runs helped South Africa to put a total of 308
On Day 2 of 1st Test match between South Africa and New Zealand in University Oval.South Africa were all out by putting a 308 runs in 122.4 overs on scoreboard with 140 runs including 24 fours coming from South Africa's opening batsman Dean Elgar with a strike rate of 46.82.Also two half centuries coming from Faf du Plessis and T.Bavuma with 52 and 64 runs respectively.
On the other side New Zealand bowlers came with a good comeback to dismiss South Africa on Day 2.As Trent Boult took 4 wickets including wickets of K.Maharaj,T.Bavuma,S.Cook,V.Philander with an economy rate of 1.96. Dean Elgar was dismissed by bowler Neil Wagner with the catch take by the wicket keeper Bradley Watling.
New Zealand batsman also took a chasing of 308 runs as a challenge with J.Raval scoring 52 runs and K.Williamson's 78* runs helped New Zealand to put a 177/3 on scorecard.New Zealand still trails by 131 runs.As New Zealand were 177/3 on stumps.Interesting match yet to come with K.Williamson on stand with his 78 runs continuing on Day 3.
