Cricketers who announced retirement in October

Coming to the retirement this month on 1st Nov,2017 Indian fast bowler Ashish Nehra was retired on high with lots of love from fans as well as from the whole of cricket fraternity. Nehra earlier announced his retirement one month before on October.

Well to the announcement of retire ,he is not the only Indian cricketer who announced his retirement in the month of October. There are some other legendary Indian players who announced their retirement in October. Well, it seems to be a fashion in trending in Indian dressing room to announce their retirement in October or coincidence.

Here are the some of the legendary Indian cricketers who announced their retirement in the month of October.

Sachin Tendulkar

Yes, the master blaster or the God of cricket himself declared his final retirement in October. Now I guess why its in trending to announce retirement in October.

Sachin Tendulkar announced his retirement from all forms of the cricket in October 2013 and got retired on November 2013 playing his last test match against West Indies at his home town Mumbai, Wankhede stadium.In his career he scored a massive total of 81,742 runs in all forms of cricket including Test, ODI, First class cricket (FC),List A cricket (LA).No wonder why he is God of Cricket.

Virender Sehwag

The one of his kind Sehwag who is know for his blasting, smashing opening batsman also announced his retirement on 19th October, 2015.Its only coincidence that Sehwag announced his retirement on October because on his retirement he said "I wanted to retire with all forms of cricket on my 37th birthday ".He retiring was a shock to all the fans and to himself too because he din't get a farewell game quit disappointing to such a smashing opener. Sehwag got retired with a tons of runs in his name a total of  27,551 runs in Test,ODI,T20,List A cricket (LA).

Sourav Ganguly

Ganguly declared his retirement during India-Australia series coincidentally on October 2008 from retiring in all forms of cricket.Later completing the series he peacefully got retired from the game with a nice farewell match.Sourav Ganguly in his entire career scored a total of 49,884 runs in all forms of cricket.

Anil Kumble

Anil Kumble the greatest spinner of the era that India had ever got. He got retired on 2nd November,2008 but earlier announced his retirement in October itself. Kumble announced his retirement because of his finger injury and retired himself from cricket as well as from captaincy.Later this captaincy was transferred to none other than Mahendra Singh Dhoni from where a new era was started and history was created.Being a spin bowler Anil Kumble got retired with a massive total of 2,606 wickets in his pocket , which is the most wickets taken by any other bowler in the world.

Zaheer Khan

Left-arm-fast bowler Zaheer Khan announced his retirement on October 2015 from international and first-class-cricket. He ended his international career with a total of 967 wickets. But you can still watch him play in IPL matches, playing as a captain for Delhi Daredevils.
