The end of an era as yet another Indian pacer Ashish Nehra retires from his career in all form of cricket. The 38-year old played his last winning international match T20 against New Zealand on 1 Nov,2017.
His retirement made many heart sad and warmth.Ashish Nehra born on 29th April,1979 started his career in the year 1999 and peacefully retiring from his 18-year long journey on 1st November,2017.From the time Nehra wore an Indian jersey he is followed by fans, cricketers for his fast pace. Nehra started his career by making his international (Test) debut against Srilanka. Nehra's career was not so easy for him as he have been badly injured throughout his career with a total of 12 injuries. But there is a saying "No pain no Gain". Due to his determination Nehra keep on coming to the Indian cricket team.
Because of his injuries he was out of international matches for a very long time after 2011 ICC world cup. He played an important matches for India in ICC world cup, Asia cup. Ashish had a very successful cricketing career as he was the one bowler in Indian cricket team, which the captains had the faith in him by making him bowl most of the last over.Being a fast bowler Nehra has taken 44 wickets in Test , 157 wickets in ODI , 34 wickets in T20. As he was the only left-handed bowler in his time,Indian team always had a vacancy for left-handed bowlers as now I think that vacancy continues by his retirement.
On his retirement Nehra got praises and farewell from all the cricket fraternity including legends like Sachin Tendulkar,Virendra Sehwag to modern hero Virat Kohli as Nehra being a legend himself huge respect moment for Ashish Nehra. Nehra on his retirement quoted that "As he his retiring from blue jersey he will not continue playing in IPL also".
Nehra on his retirement day quoted "It is his body that will be finally at peace but his mind will remain in the game FOREVER"
